The Story Behind Mason's Wish

Mason's Wish started off by a 15 year old boy called Mason Ross, who's father died on January 29th 2013 due to a tragic drowning accident. Shockingly, Mason went to school the next day. He was in his final year of school and doing his GCSE's. His maths level was decreasing at the time so it was crucial that he didn't fail. Down to his Teaching Assistant, Debbie Walsh and Maths Teacher, Deborah Daynes he exceeded his target grade. Unbeknown to Mason, Deborah Daynes was going through treatment for Cancer. Mason was very grateful for this, so he wanted to thank his teacher Deborah Daynes by giving her a meal for 2 donation from More Restaurant, who gladly accepted the donation. Mason then realised he wanted to do something much bigger than this, so Mason set up an Cancer Fundraiser event. He continuously looked around for donations sending E-mails, visiting the shops in his town then finally his fundraiser was all set up. He managed to get a FREE venue, disco, dancers and many more including a raffle and an auction. And then Mason's Wish was born, Mason wants to help many people going through a hard time.

Homeless :- We focus on helping the homeless, by getting donations of clothes and going out and giving them a nice new set of clothes. We aim to find showers that are available for the homeless so they can have a wash etc. And we will hopefully get them into the voluntary centre and hopefully get them a job.

People with addiction:- We have an amazing handful of counsellors that donate their time to our charity to help other people. We have some that are fully trained with years of experience and some that have just been qualified.

Fundraising:- We fundraise for other charities too such as Cancer Research UK, ADDACTION and The Squires Effect. We set up great events when we fundraise where we aim to raise a lot of money for the great selected charities.
